Now it's down to the editing process. This shouldn't take more than a few weeks if previous experience is anything to go by. I anticipate the book will be out by the end of June, but don't hold me to that! Some of this is out of my hands.
Meanwhile, the plan to release a paperback with the first five episodes has been moving forward. It's mostly waiting on cover art now. They want to do something different for the combined volume, something that will stand out among the sudden glut of time travel books on the market.
It's been interesting, deciding which issues to resolve and which to save for the next episode. I like to throw something new in each time and to visit some different periods of time or special events. Episode six will hopefully give a flavor of something very different than my readers will have seen before in the series.
By Episode seven, a lot of things have settled down so a new problem will challenge Kallie's abilities. I plan to have some fun in this one, tormenting my poor character in a different way than I have done before. Watch this space!
I've also been putting some thought into how to wrap up the series and now have a plan. I think it was important for me to decide this while I still have a few episodes left. I've already started dropping subtle hints of things to come.
While I'll be sad to see this series finish, there are other projects I would like to have more time to develop and I'm looking forward to working on those. Four more episodes should keep me busy for a while longer, perhaps even most of this year.
Oh and don't assume that a character who appears to be finished with the story is gone forever. There just might be some reappearances to come!
