Research, Research, Research...

One of the things that has slowed down my progress with the second half of the series is that I've written myself into a world of Temporal Physics that requires some justification in a scientific sense. In other words, I can't just make up rules for time travel when a lot of theoretical study has been accomplished by respected scientists.

Little did I know when I started that I would be reading up on complicated theories and Quantum Physics! I'm actually reading up on gravitational waves now, something that we're only just starting to properly study.  As a matter of fact, today was supposed to be the scheduled  launch of a special satellite for measuring gravitational waves in space! So what does this have to do with a fictional time travel series? Well, I like doing my research properly so that things in the story are at least plausible. If you're up to date in the series, you'll know that I have yet to explain the causality behind a time loop. I think I've found what I need in the study of gravitational waves. As much as this study is in fledgling stages as far as actual measurements are concerned, Physicists understand quite a lot about the subject already and I've found some good models for what I need to explain in context of the story.

I'm going to be traveling over Christmas, which is disruptive to writing, but the next story should unfold very smoothly now that I have a theory to work with. With editing to consider, I anticipate that Gravity Spike will be out sometime in January. Fingers crossed!
